He lived here for more than 45 years and was a World War Il Navy veteran. He was a member of the Home Association. He was a past president and member of Elmcrest Country Club. He was a member of the Knights. of Columbus and the Monday Night Men's Handicap Bowling League at the Liberty Street Bowl.

He was a member of Beth El Temple and its brotherhood and the Independent City of Homes Association. He volunteered at the Jewish Nursing home of Western Massachusetts and had been a deputy sheriff. His first wife, the former Edna Rickman, died in 1964; and his wife, the former Lillian Stone Feldman, died last year. He leaves two stepdaughters. Dunn WEST SPRINGFIELD Joseph E. Dunn, 87, of 39 Elm Circle, died Saturday in the Holyoke Soldiers' Home, Holyoke. He retired in 1977 from the Postal Service after 36 years in the Tapley Street office. Born and educated in Holyoke, he was a 1932 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. He lived in West Springfield for 45 years and was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Panama and also a member of NARF. He leaves his wife Dorothy (Bramham) Dunn of West Springfield; two sons, Joseph E. Jr. of West Springfield and John P. of Springfield; a daughter, Karen A.

Foley Plumbing Co. for several years and later worked for the plumber's union on various jobs, including the University of Massachusetts high-rise dormitories and the nuclear power plant in Rowe. Born in Woburn. he attended schools there and was a graduate of Boston Trade School. He had been a resident of Northampton since 1953 and was a communicant of St.

Catherine's Church in Leeds. He had formerly been active with St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He was active in the Catholic Lay Committee on Scouting and was a recipient of the St. George's Cross.

He was a gunner's mate first class with the Navy Seabees during World War II. He was the past president of the Northampton Kiwanis Club, past district lieutenant governor and served on the Boy Scout Regional Council. He was a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Cursillo Movement and also of St. Michael's Mr. Mrs.

Club. He leaves his wife, the former Mary Crosby; a son, Thomas C. of Northampton; and two daughters, Maureen Foley of Cambridge and Margaret Pitzer of Northampton. He was predeceased by three children, Kevin, Kenneth and Kathleen Foley. The funeral will be Wednesday morning at Pease Funeral Home and in St.

Senecal CHICOPEE Ernest P. Senecal, 84, of the Fairview section, died Friday in a Springfield nursing home. For 44 years, he was a night supervisor for the former Worthington Pump Co. (now the Atlas Copco Co.) in Holyoke, before retiring in 1977. Born in North Adams, he had lived there and in Holyoke, before moving to Chicopee in 1944.

He was a communicant of St. Anne Church and a member of the Fairview Council No. 4044 Knights of Columbus and the Worthington Pump Company Retirees Club. His wife, the former Mildred V. Cote, died in 1990.

He leaves two sons, Richard E. and George both of Chicopee; two daughters, Lois A. Cote of Ludlow and Ruth A. Biliter of Chicopee; a brother Arthur of Wolfboro, N.H.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was a retired 25 year stationary engineer for Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, Conn. He retired in 1980. Born in Scictco, he lived in Feeding Hills most of his life. He was a member of the Mittineague United Methodist Church in West Springfield. He belonged to the West Springfield Grange 147 and the state and national Grange.

He was a member of the Beekeepers Club of Massachusetts and the West Springfield Garden Club. He the United States Army during World War II. His first wife, the former Gladys Clark, died in 1984. Robinson, 80, of this town, died Saturday in Holyoke Hospital, Holyoke. He was a tractor trailer driver for Helms Express, retiring in 1986. He was previously employed by United Elastic and Yellow freight lines. Born in Springfield, he lived in Southampton until moving to Easthampton in 1940. He attended Southampton schools and Smith Vocational School in Northampton.

He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in Italy. He received the Bronze Star and the E.A.M.E. Ribbon with two bronze stars. He was a member of the Easthampton Veteran of Foreign War Post 3422 and the Teamsters 404 of Springfield. His first wife, the former Dorothy Stoddard, died in 1961.

He leaves his wife, the former Jacqueline Urdzela; two sons, George W. Jr. of Easthampton and Gerald of Clarksville three daughters, Beverly Robinson of Easthampton, Frances LaRock of Gulfport, and Mary Kirkwood of Illinois; two sisters, Marge Wing of Westfield and Frances Krawczyk of Florida; five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Coon HOLYOKE Clara "Mickey" Lou (Dwyer) Coon, 74, of 485 South died Thursday at a local nursing home. She was a homemaker. Born in Holyoke, she was a lifelong resident and 1943 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, a 25-year member of Holyoke Turnverin and a member of the Elmwood Tower Association. Her husband, Norman Coon, died in 1999.

Patricia DiLiberto SPRINGFIELD Patricia (Acone) DiLiberto, 89, of 102 Burns died Saturday in Baystate Medical Center. She was a cafeteria worker for the former Walgreen lunch counter. She also worked at American International College and at Ansara's Laundry.

Born in Westport, she resided in Springfield for the past 58 years. She attended the West Springfield Gospel Hall and was a member of the Springfield Golden Agers. She leaves two daughters, Miriam Silva and Eunice Ritchotte, both of Springfield; two brothers, James latesta of West Orange, N.J., and Salvatore latesta of Chicago; a sister, Ruth Fields of West Orange; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandson. Joan B. Smith HOLYOKE Joan Barbara Smith. 80, of Loomis House, died Friday in the Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton. She was a teacher for the visually handicapped in Rockland County, N.Y. Born in Detroit, she had been a resident of Holyoke since 1998.

She was a summa cum laude graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College in Blauvelt, N.Y. She received a master's degree from Teachers College at Columbia University, N.Y, and was a dissertation short of a Ph.D. She leaves her husband, Robert Parker Smith; three daughters, Dr. Deborah Smith of the Leeds section of Northampton, Shelley Smagac of Boulder, and Leslie Reyher of Valley Cottage, N.Y: a sister, Julie Thornton of Marcellus, and five grandsons.

Clayton HOLYOKE Margaret T. (Walsh) Clayton, 90, formerly of Ridgewood Avenue, died Sunday in a local nursing home. She worked for the Skinner Mills and later for the Holyoke Geriatric Authority. Born and educated in Holyoke, she lived there all of her life and was a communicant of St. Jerome Church.

Her husband, Harold F. Clayton, died in 1980. She leaves three sons, Harold F. "Skip" Jr. of Holyoke, Michael of Easthampton and Robert of Southampton; two daughters.

He was a graduate of the former Springfield Technical High School in Springfield. He was past president and a lifetime member of the Springfield Revolver Club and a participant in the Over 60 Club. His wife, the former Esther M. Hammond died in 1995. He leaves his daughter.

Born in Hatfield, he was raised in Northampton, where he was a longtime resident, a graduate of Northampton High School and communicant of St.

John Cantius Church. He was a member and former secretary of the Roofers and Slaters Union No. 248. He was also a longtime member of the Northampton Revolver Club, where he was considered an expert marksmen and won numerous competitions on the state and national level.
