He was chairman of the Republican Town Committee and served on the West Springfield housing board: 'He also served on the Electric Council of New England, was chairman of the West Springfield Planning Board. He was a member of the Mount Orthodox Lodge and of the Men's Club in Suffield, Conn. Professionally, he was a circulation manager for the former New England Homestead, managing editor of the Massachusetts Horticulture Society in Boston, and New England district manager of the former Denoyet-Geppert Co. in Chicago. He retired in 1986.

With his wife, Helen, he co-founded The Reference House in West Springfield, a map company. They had a booth at the Big E. Born in St. Albans, he moved here as an infant. Antonio Cirillo AGAWAM Antonio Cirillo, 91.

of this town, died Sunday at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was a 40-year owner of Cirillo Realty and former owner of Cirillo Bakery. He was a first class engineer for the Springfield Armory during World War II: He also worked for Holyoke Hospital as a first class fireman. Born in Ariana Arpina, Province of Avellino, Italy, he moved to Boston at the age of 4, and to Springfield in 1923 before moving here in 1967. He was a communicant of St.

John the Evangelist Church. His wife, the former Mary A. "Polly" Santaniello, died in 1996. He leaves a son, Anthony Jr. of Agawam; three daughters, Rose M.

Mercadante and Shirley Bussolari, both of the Feeding Hills section, and Rita Poggi of two brothers, Rico of Marco Island, and Joseph of Agawam; two sisters, Rose DiSanti and Flora of Port Charlotte, 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
