Mr. Butts was born March 25, 1903, in Sycamore, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Butts. He is survived by his widow, Edna; a daughter, Arvetta Petersen and a son, Dale, both of California: six grandchildren and one great- grand also two brothers, Clifford and Louis, both of California; a sister.

Violet Smail, Thornton, Iowa; and several cousins in Sycamore. Services and burial will take place later this week in Clear Lake, Iowa. Mrs. Arlene Higdon MARSEILLES, Ill. Mrs.

Robert (Arlene) Higdon, 44, of rural Marseilles, died April 4, 1973, at St. Margaret Hospital, Hammond, Ind. The former Arlene Skipton was born Oct. 15, 1928, in Chicago, the daughter of Roy and Marie Skipton. She was married to Robert Higdon in Chicago in 1948.

Her husband survives, also her parents of Protem, four sons, Bart Norway, Mark Larry P. and Tim all at home, and a daughter, Lenore also at home; a sister, Loretta Howard, Portage, two brothers, Merlin Skipton, Protem, and Raymond of Chicago. The funeral is 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wedron, with the Rev.

John Waugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Norway cemetery. Visitation is after 3 on Friday at the Burkart Funeral, Home in Sandwich where the Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Frank L. Kaminski SUGAR GROVE Frank L.

Kaminski, 47, of Sugar Grove, died unexpectedly at his home April 4, 1973. Mr. Kaminski was born June 12, 1925, in Wisconsin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis I.

Kaminski. While he was 'serving in World War II the family moved to DeKalb. He was married Aug. 26, 1947 in DeKalb to Betty Lou Peyton. Cain. 78, of 210 N. Eddy Sandwich, died at his home April 3, 1973. Mr. Cain was born Oct.

9, 1894, in Somonauk, the son of Charles A. and Lydia Ebbinger Cain. He was married to Edna Cooper in Chicago in 1926. Mr. Cain was employed at the Sandwich Post Office for 41 years and was assistant postmaster at the time of his retirement.

He was a veteran of World War a member of the American Legion, the VFW: the 100F: the Masonic Lodge, all of Sandwich. Survivors include three sons, John DeKalb, Richard Sandwich and Ralph Aurora: a daughter, Helen L. Cain, Bellwood, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1960, also one brother and one sister. The funeral service will be 10 a.m.

Friday at the Burkhart Funeral Home, Sandwich, with the Rev. Kenneth Young officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today where Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m.

Don Ewing LEE A memorial service will be held for Mr. Don Ewing, formerly of Lee, First Lutheran Church, Lee, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Richard O. Johnson will officiate and Reuben A.

Man arrested A Rochelle man was arrested by DeKalb Police Wednesday in Rochelle following investigation concerning burglary of two DeKalb a apartments on Gurler Street in December. Glenn E. Jennings, 25, of 427 N. Eleventh Rochelle, was charged the theft of several silver items.

A police spokesman said the items were from Indonesia and included many figurines. Bond was set at $20,000 by Associate Judge Thomas Cliffe. Betty Piche, 30, rural Somonauk, will stand trial following Reimann. They are charged with the murder of five people, armed robbery and theft at the Pine Village Steak House in Yorkville, the Kendall County seat. Both Reimann and Mrs. Piche are now being held in Winnebago County Jail in Rockford for trial. They were transferred there from Kendall County Jail last week following a grant of change of venue.

Judge Swanson said further pre-trial motions will be heard in Rockford, April 18. Some pre-trial motions were heard April 2-3 in Rockford. He denied a motion to consolidate the two cases, but did consolidate the seven charges against each prisoner. The are both charged with five counts of murder and one count each of armed robbery and theft. The government reported wholesale prices for food, lumber and other consumer goods scored a 2.2 per cent increase in March, the biggest one gain in 22 years. The Dow Jones average of 30 blue chip industrial stocks headed 4.22 lower to 920.83 shortly before noon. Declines led advances, 770 to 318, among the 1,506 issues on the tape.
