The 15-pound, 32-inch statue of the Virgen de San Juan de los Lagos was flown to San Antonio on Sunday from its home in Jalisco, Mexico. The worshipers, including two uniformed delegations of the Knights of Columbus and a mariachi band, joined a procession to take the statue to Nuestra Senora de San Juan de los Lagos Church.
The statue, made of sugar cane fiber and wood paste, is the second-most venerated shrine to the Virgin Mary in Mexico. About 150.000 people viewed it in Los Angeles last August, church officials said. She was born in Helena, Texas, and had lived in Edroy until moving to Lorraine, Texas, in 1961.

Aurora Martinez of Pearsall, and Mrs. Cruz Adame of Thomasville, Georgia; one brother, Amalio Morin of Corpus Christi; 33 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
